London Funeral Celebrant
How do you arrange a Memorial, Celebration of Life or Funeral for your loved one?
You have found yourself having to look for someone to conduct a funeral for you.
You are not going down the “church and vicar” route, but what other choices do you have? As an experienced Funeral Celebrant conducting personalised services across London and Suffolk, I can tell you the answer is, surprisingly, quite a few.

As an accomplished Funeral Celebrant in South East London, I conduct many types of loving and individual farewells. I am very happy to talk with you about the choices you can make. As your Funeral Officiant I am able to inform and guide you through this difficult time. There really are very few hard and fast rules.
The most important thing to remember is that you don’t have to work with the first funeral company you find.
If you take the time to really think about things, you can have the funeral that you really want, and will reflect the life for your dead person. I specialise in compassionate and personalised Celebrations of Life that will live long in your heart. All it takes is one phone call to start on an empowering and personal funeral journey.
Just as our homes, our birthday parties, and our weddings reflect our personalities, so should (or can) our funerals.
It is the last chance to bring together our friends and family to reflect on the specialness of our dead friend or family member.
So, in short – if you can imagine a truly personalised and unique service, call me as your local professional Funeral Celebrant, and we can talk things through.
Take your time and don’t rush your decisions - we only get one go at this! Whatever you decide, needs to be perfect for you.
Traditional Services, Cremations & Living Funerals
Do some research to find a local Independent Celebrant like me; I can help you with those initial decisions, and enable you to be fully informed about your choices.
Celebration of Life/Memorial -You can choose to separate the actual cremation (“direct cremations” are gaining in popularity at the moment) or burial from the Celebrant led Celebration of your loved one’s life. Whether they happen on the same day or at a different time is up to you.
As your local Independent Funeral Celebrant I then have the opportunity to really create a unique send off with you in a special place of your choosing. It will be relaxed, positive, sad, thoughtful, unique and a really beautiful memorial to a life well lived. This could be at the same time as your dead person is taken to the crematorium, or you could have your celebration with them there and they will be taken away when you decide. You could be at the local social club, country barn, woodland, pub or Community Centre – wherever is important for them. Time is not important; it can take as long as it needs to and everyone who feels they want to participate has the space to do so. It can be the most memorable and special party that will live long in people’s memories.
Living Funeral – this would be an incredibly powerful and brave decision to make. If you know that your time is limited, you can talk to me and together we can create the best send-off party imaginable. As a compassionate Funeral Celebrant I create personalised End of Life Celebrations. I can craft an unforgettable ceremony with you – how amazing to be told just how important to so many people you are. It’s a brave choice, but one that can feel so empowering.
I created a beautiful short film with a client recently – she wanted the opportunity to tell all the people she loved how she really felt. It was a surprise at her funeral service, especially when she came on the screen and said, “I’ll bet you weren’t expecting to see me today!”
Traditional Funeral Service – Following a meeting with a high street funeral director; usually if you have a pre-paid plan. They tend to be the ones you have seen with gents in top hats and with shiny limousines. There is nothing wrong with that choice, but you don’t have to be pointed down that particular path if you don’t want to or if it doesn’t feel quite right. You are not limited to 45 minutes at the crematorium if you feel you want something different. If you choose that, then I, as your local Independent Funeral Celebrant, will meet you and your family and create a beautiful, bespoke farewell for you. I can help with eulogy writing and creating a personalised and individual farewell. You can take your time to make an informed decision.
