Why choose me?
Well, a good place to start is that I am incredibly nosy! I live and breath through connecting with people… So you see, being an experienced Wedding and Funeral Celebrant gives me the perfect opportunities to do just that!
One of my favourite books is “Howard’s End” by E M Forster, and I love this quotation from it…
“Only connect! That was the whole of her sermon. Only connect the prose and the passion, and both will be exalted, and human love will be seen at its height.”
It really is very simple! With your passion for each other, or for the person you have just lost, we connect and together we create something wonderful and meaningful – in Forster’s words, “exalted.” We all have a story to tell; we all want our story heard. As an experienced Wedding and Funeral Celebrant, I have the skills and the creativity, through years of hard work, to hone your words, your feelings and your passions into a ceremony that will be unique to you and completely unforgettable.
When you choose me to be your Independent Celebrant to create and deliver your personalised, bespoke ceremony you will be certain that I will make sure that I know everything that you are willing to share – and then some!
I take time to really understand what makes you tick, what made your dead person tick; what is important to you, what was important to them; who is important to you, who did they cherish; what are your aspirations and dreams, what were their dreams and aspirations? Only then do I start to construct your bespoke and unique Celebrant-led ceremony. You can find me in South East London as well as in the Suffolk countryside; I am always happy to travel.
No matter what type of ceremony you are organising; whether it is a thoughtful and beautifully constructed funeral service or a unique and bespoke wedding ceremony, I promise you will feel different afterwards; you will have been listened to; your thoughts acknowledged; you will feel involved and empowered to tell whatever story we have to create – but you will also have felt light-hearted and have had a few laughs along the way, that’s not a bad start is it?!
